I'm interested in how your neighbor uses the horsey stuff!!  I love cannas
but dread lifting them each year . . . How deep is the manure and when does
he put it on the cannas.

a guy not far from here grows cannas ,,,   never lifts them.   Each year he
top dresses them with fresh horse manure deep.   You can see 'Em a 1/4th
mile away bloomin their hearts out by June.
