Okay I hope this is the general idea you wanted. The shady area where I am
developing my garden has alot of tree roots. Some of them protruding
through. I dont want to damage the tree in any way and none of the ideas
others have given have worked. What I did was make the roots part of the
plan and put flowers there that I knew would grow in spite of them.
Dyalilies--hosta. Another problem I am having is that the shady area is
pretty dry. I have mulched very heavy and this does not solve the problem.
My shady area is very very shady. It only receives reflected light in small
doses. What can I plant here to have color. I only have ferns and hostas and
daylilies now which the lilies help some but not alot.
Thanks
Terry
hope this hits on what you wanted :)
