[SHADEGARDENS] Introduction and bio

     Dear Fellow Shadegardeners:

Some of you may remember me from the Hosta Robin and hostas are my
first and true garden love ... just can't seem to get enough of them
although space consideration is doing its part to control my behavior!

I own a townhouse in Northern Virginia (Lorton/Fairfax County). My
garden is approximately 15 years old although it has been massively
transformed over the course of the past 6-8 years. The front garden
is approximately 15' by 15' and the rear garden is approximately 15'
by 25'. Between the two I have over 100 varieties of hosta as well
as 100+ varieties of trees, shrubs, other perennials and grasses. As
you might imagine, I make good use of containers!

I am married and my husband and I have three sons ages 13, 11 and
     8. I work full-time for a U.S. Senator from Kentucky and specialize
in Defense, Environment and Immigration-related matters.

I am the Vice President of our homeowners association (as well as
Chairman of our Common Grounds Committee), a Den Leader and Assistant
Cubmaster for one of our local Cub Scout Packs, a Board member of the
Potomac Hosta Club and, until recently, a catechist at my church ...
I am insane! Gardening is my outlet and my salvation.

In addition to hostas, I have a particular fondness for pulmonaria,
carex, heuchera, asarum, some ferns and Asiatic lilies.

I look forward to participating on this Robin!
