The style of writing looks good to me. Will read some of it tonight. Having
an extremely bad time with son and just can't seem to get focused on
gardening when my son wants to leave home. All I can ask is that my
"friends" on the list pray that this problem will get resolved. My sister
and brother-in-law and a close family friend are all jumping in to try to
find out why Chris is so angry at the entire world. We know something is
seriously wrong and feel most of this behavior is just "acting out". I
grounded him off the internet until his behavior straightened out so he is
trying to move away from home for the period of time he is grounded. What he
doesn't know is that I am ready to change my position on driving and agree to
let him take driving training this summer if he will meet certain behavioral
requirements (like maintaining a 2.5 average at school; not back talking me
constantly, getting a job to pay for the cost of a car and insurance, etc.).
Basically, I am trying to figure out a way to force this kid to "grow up" at
the same time he is complaining that I won't let him grow up. He wants total
freedom from any rules, etc. but doesn't seem to understand that freedom
requires responsibilities. All I can do right now is ask you to pray for
us. I feel like my family is being torn apart. This is the first time he
has stayed mad over night--usually he is all apologetic the next morning and
expects me to just forget the past. I am going to offer him a totally clean
slate and not hold previous behavior against him if he will agree to the
conditions we set down.
