Many thanks for welcome, invitations, and suggestions. I'm already starting
a list of info to share with friends and neighbors.
Just one more question for those also in Georgia/Tennessee area-- do you
have any recommendations for bulbs for naturalizing? I'd like to have nice
clumps of daffodils but being new to the south I'm not sure which varieties
will continue blooming and multiplying without a cold winter (the nurseries
seem to sell lots of kinds, regardless of whether they are for this climate).
They would be in the shade by the time the foliage dies down.
I have tried several kinds with mixed success (but only over 2 winters).
I am not sure if it is the warm winter or the shade that does them in.
Are there other spring bulbs that would naturalize here, and do not require
full sun?
And, one more thing: Mary C., did you mention a catalog?.....Sandy (zone 7)
