Re: [SG] Favorite Shade Ground cover

Two of my favorite groundcover plants:

Eunonymus nanus turkertanicus- I can't figure out why more people don't grow
this, I love it. It is a dwarf, 3" at most, shrub that has tiny leaves that
look like rosemary. It has small, ala eunonymus, orange seeds in the fall.
It is very sculptural and will grow over rocks and cover them. Ron Simmering
in Davenport, IA had some growing over a large rock in his front yard. This
is where I first saw it. I have some used as an edging which will soon grow
over a stone path. I planted more 2 years ago which I plan to have grow over
a limestone wall to soften the edges.

The other groundcover I love is Lysimachia japonica minutissima. Its leaves
are so tiny, about 1/4" and the growth is very similar to creeping Jenny. It
blooms with tiny yellow stars on tight little mounds of foilage. It is so
beautiful, but again, I don't see many people growing it.
