Is anyone familiar with ASTILBE chinensis taquetii?
If so would appreciate hearing the details.

the proper name in ASTILBE taquetii 'Superba' but one of the major wholesalers
has it listed as c. 'superba' so I can see how there is some confusion. A
taquetii is native to chine and is called "fall ASTILBE" they make great cut
flowers and grow up to four feet with lilac colored flowers. Plumes are large
and compact with large leaflets with some resemblance to a chinensis type.
I have posted a Pict if any one wants to see it.

Plants should be grown good moist soils and they bloom late. I love this type
of tall ASTILBE were the plums are held up above the leaves...and if you like
it too I recommend another tall one called 'White Gloria' white flowers in mid
season-plants grow 30" tall.
