Re: [SG] ornamental grasses, Carex

Bobbi,

You're welcome...glad it is of use. Yes, C. eburnea's in this year's Plant
Delights, but no pix. But, I know where to get it now. I don't really
think C. siderostica looks more like Liriope than Hosta . The leaf is
wider than Liriope and narrower than most Hosta, but the habit would be
more Hosta-like than Liriope-like, I think. At least mine is, but it has
only been in the ground a year, so may change with time.

Heronswood is listing Carex muskingumensis 'Oehme' -

and Collector's Nursery is, too at half the price! I haven't ordered from
Collectors (featured them tho' in my series last year) but have chatted
with people who have and who have been to the nursery and raved...they do
have a list of plants to drool over...

Found a few others, but they were either UK or Canada only or it was still
their '98 list up.

Only found one listing the species...and that was a '98 list :-( Seems
several of the online nurseries are in the process of getting the '99 lists
up and just haven't made it yet.
