Re: [SG] Tiarella and Heuchera

Dear Kay,
Favorite Heuchera and Tiarella? Well, I guess there are none I don't like.
Tiarella cordifolia 'Slick Rock' is quite small and stoloniferous, good
qualities if you are looking for a groundcover. This one was cultivated and
introduced by my son. The parent is from the North Carolina Slick Rock
wilderness. If you follow the descriptions provided by the Olivers in the
catalog, you will likely find the plant you need for your purpose. Some of the
red flowers (Heuchera) are quite striking, but the leaves are long season, a
better reason for selecting a plant. If you have lots of room, why not one of
each? Every one you can find from every source! They may perform differently
in different areas, different soil conditions.
