Hello Diann,
I took a walk through the garden and nursery checking the foliage on all the
Epimediums. All is mature leaves, I do not see any of the small leaves with
lighter green or bronzing that comes on new growths. I would say they are resting
for now. Most of the growth on mine occurs in early spring to early summer and
then pretty much stops. All are well established, mature clumps, however. Not
newly transplanted.
There is no such thing as a "small timer", Diann. Whether you order one plant
or 100 plants it is our job as nursery owners to see that you are happy. To be
honest, the nursery trade is more about good feelings than the plants themselves.
