Re: hydrangeas - hardiness and pruning


Thi isn't really about hardiness & pruning.  Wanted to say  we visited
Butchart gardens yesterday  http://www.butchartgardens.com where I saw a
climbing hydrangea just coming into bloom.  Was planted in 1899.  Now
covers about 50 - 60 ft. 2 stories high.  Magnificent.  Awesome.  I planted
one in Ontario (zone 4b) to climb up my TV ariel. (not a fairy, a metal
thingy)   Grew about 3 ft. in 3 years.

Ginny in Victoria BC, who saw amazing 1000 yes 3 zeros trees last week.
