Another shade? plant blooms all summer

I was rather startled to see Lavatera "Barnsley", which blooms from
early summer to hard frost, in full bloom in shade as I drove a
different route this afternoon. Now, I can't guarantee that its site
is in shade all day long. Can I remember where it was well enough to
go and check in the morning? With the price of gas what it is now?
Maybe not.

However, maybe someone else has it flourishing in shade. Mine is in
as much sun as my well-treed property affords, which would probably
be considered really shady by people who live on the prairies. And a
larger-flowered plain pink form is near the north wall of the house,
east of a tall apple tree. It also blooms madly.
