Connie: I think a transplanting in July with the temps up would be very
traumatic on your plant. I did some transplanting 2 weeks ago and the plants
are really struggling and I've be keeping daily watch over them.
This may sound very funny but I've actually seen people prop umbrella's over
a plant that was burning in the summer sun. Another option for shading your
plant is to take a potted plant that is larger than the Palace Purple and
that can take full sun....place it near the Palace Purple on the west side of
the plant where it can provide shade from the afternoon sun.....might help
get you through the next couple of months.
