I agree, I think moisture has more to do with it then any other thing. When
it comes down to it, they're really tough plants.
The Palace Purples have been sitting out in full hot sun, in small "one
gallon" pots, at Wallmart for about 3 weeks now. They look a little worn,
but are doing - - - - - OK. I had mine sitting on hot concrete in full sun
from noon till night, but I watered it every day, and it
looked - - - - - - - - - - OK.

I remember, when I made my first attempt at the Heuchera, the tag saying
full
sun and me, being a very inexperienced gardener, took the advice of the tag
and before July hit the plant was gone. Now I've learned that I have to be
really really sure that when something says full sun that it can actually
take my Gulf Coast Sun. You know what's strange about the Heuchera and the
tag - in most of the catalogs you see the Heuchera listed as a shade plant.
Mine (that is in full shade) has doubled in size since planting it this
spring but I provide plenty of moisture. In the fall this bed begins to
receive more sunlight.....do you know if these will bloom in the fall?
