I was unable to properly grow "Hillside Black Beauty" until I gave it morning
sun and afternoon open shade.  I currently have a group of three that this
year have reached 4' in height, with flower buds ready to open.  I have
another group of three that I must move, as they just return each year but do
not prosper.  My other types of Cimicifuga seem so easy in comparison.
