It has been years since I ordered from Wayside. To me their major flaw
(aside from the high cost of their plants) is that they grow nothing
themselves, but supply plants from other nurseries. The plants may be good
or not, depending on what the other nursery sends when you order. In my
experience Wayside tends not to make mistakes with orders, and they will
replace plants the buyer is unhappy with. But I would rather eliminate the
middleman (and extra cost) and go straight to a specialty nursery that I
trust. But they are far superior to Van Burgondien.
