Is it Pentas lanceolate? I bought a Pentas last year for about $5. It has
red flowers, overwintered in the house, and is now outside in the shade
for the summer. I like mine very much. There is a series of Pentas called
"Butterfly Pentas"--why I don't know as I have never seen a butterfly on
mine. I think Pentas is both the common and the Latin name. Sometimes the
flowers are pink instead of red. I bet that's what you have.
