Hello Nancy,
    No problem with tiarella seeds as long as they are fresh. Sow as soon as
mature on the surface of the medium, cover with granite grit, water and then set
outside to ride with the weather. Late this fall or early next spring they should
germinate for you. Leave them in their little pots the first year. Transplant the
second year to the garden.
