Re: Cornus canadensis/bunchberry

Hmmmm, I didn't realize Cornus canadensis was so hard to grow. I've got a nice patch of it in my "north woods" garden where I try to lower our normally high pH with pine needles, coffee grounds and Miracid once in a while (yearly?). I leave the leaves that fall from the oaks, trying to simulate a woodland. This patch started with about 3 plants 5 years ago, if I remember right. It now blooms and gets berries. It is a quite shady spot, and I do try to give the whole area a good soaking if we haven't seen rain in quite some time....like now!

Now that I've written this, I sure hope it doesn't start dying out!
