Re: gentle suggestion

Hi Claire
I wouldn't begin to know how to change the name of the list, it is an old type program where you have to know a huge set of commands to do about anything. The only thing I have really done these last years is help people get on and off the list. If someone wants to go to stjohns.edu and download the manual maybe figuring out how to change the name is possible. It is huge though, the instructions.

Hello Bob Axmear,

Since you have a flurry of interested gardeners, maybe you could change the
name to ornamental gardeners and some of these nice people will form up a
community again.

That you have been maintaining the list all this time, you are a good fellow
and it was fun to see you again online. Most gardeners have a bit of
everything and the much delineated lists keep people quiet.

I could use some updating, I have forgotten a whole lot of names but still
have a huge garden which is remaking itself into drifts of plants and shrubs
that like it here in New York. The transformation is interesting as I lose some
plants and find others establish and please. All old age I think. Mixed
gardens of perennials and shrubs and containers are what is happening now.
