This is, as you know, my first year gardening. I bought plants that I know
and love, things that I have seen grow in other gardens, especially my
mother's garden.
From past posts, I have learned that the things I have planted are mid to
late summer bloomers. I planted some annuals to give my garden some color,
marigolds, red impatiens, portulaca. They are doing beautifully!
But, I am planning in my head for next year already. I need some ideas
about what to plant for late spring, early summer blooms. I live in zone 5,
Columbus, OH, and my yard is mostly shade, although I do have some spots
that get late morning-early afternoon and then again late afternoon-early
evening sun. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I like bright,
vibrant colors.
