Barbara;
    Both plants like a shady to semi-shady, moist spot.
    The Filipendula 'Variegata' has yellow varigated leaves and is 4'
tall.
    The Polemonium or 'Jacob's Ladder' is a wonderful plant to accent
Ferns.
    Both are hardy to about zone 3.
