The problem that I have had with ivy in zone 5 is that I often don't get the
snow cover it needs (I think) and the drying winter winds kill them off. I
have tried a number of varieties rated for zone 5, they were gorgeous and I
was really hopefull, but within 2 years I had lost every one. Now my zone 5,
may be a lot different from yours in the East. You prob. get the snow cover.
I think I did get mine from an address in the Gardening By Mail book that
someone recommended to you.
