Re: [SG] Culver's Root


Hi Bob,
Culver's Root is Veronicastrum virginicum. Looks like a large Veronica. It
is usually over three feet in height and can reach as much as 6 feet or
more. Sharply toothed leaves. Long terminal spikes of flowers that curl at
the tips. Flower color is usually white. It is found growing in woods and
clearings in moist soil. it is native to a large area of the eastern U.S.
Not too hard to find in wildflower catalogs. I do not carry it nor have it
in my garden as yet.
