Bobbi,
I think the weeding is the hardest part. One thing I am going to try next
year (again) is Preen. I have tried it before, but it is so expensive and
makes the soil look funny. However, I have heard that it is the same
chemical farmers use and you can buy bags like they use for much cheaper
prices. Does anyone know the validity of this?
What is the name of the active ingredient in Preen? Anyone know?
Anyway, I digress. I have also noticed that when I take the time and have
the mulch available, to weed, then immediately put down mulch, I have much
less weeding to do (as well as watering).
I hope someone has some other ideas. As I was hefting 80 lb. bags of
concrete yesterday for more stone walkway, I was also contemplating how much
longer I would be able to do this. There will come a time...
