I checked the URL one person kindly provided, but it seemed to deal with
HARMFUL caterpillars only. Nothing like my critters was pictured, so I
assumed they were not harmful. I have left them alone, but almost all are
gone from the baptisia now (predators?).
I would love to have this URL again and promise this time I'll save it.
