Okay, that was where I got confused.  The plant the catalogues usually call
Hardy Glads is not what you were referring to.  Yours IS the 'usual', true
glad.  The variety 'Atom' is an older variety; I think from the 40's.  You
are right; it doesn't look like others in its species (Gladiolus nana).
There is a site where they sell several of the older cultivars, including
'Atom'...I think it is George Africa's colleague in Ann Arbor.  George, do
you have the website address again?
