I think you are looking for poly fibers which are mixed in the orginal
peat-cement mixture. When the trough is cured the excess is burned off with
a propane torch.
They can be purchased in our part of the country at the local ready-mix
plant. A very large masonry supply house (probably a contractor's supply)
might have this product. The fibers are mixed into various concrete mixes
right at the ready-mix plants. If you are not successful write again and I
will see what is left here.
You must persevere, the cement plants may consider us a nuisance. Drive up
and ask on the spot, a telephone call might not do it. A plastic bag of the
fibers is quite a small item, about the size of the newspaper. The cost
varies greatly, one bag lasts you the rest of your life.
