I don't like garden shows which show more "host" than hosta - or any
other garden topic. I find it very frustrating to want to see some
actual shot of plants or techniques, and have to see the host's face
instead. I recently e-mailed a complaint about a program (the Guerrilla
Gardener) which shows marvelous gardens, when you can glimpse them
behind the host's face! Somebody must think that everyone watches TV to
see amusing people; but I would often rather see plants.
