According to welcome letter rec'd on sign up, this should do it:
Send email to:
...................
LISTSERV@MAELSTROM.STJOHNS.EDU
no subject
in the body type:
SET SHADEGARDENS NODIGEST
......................
(Use this command to return to normal mail delivery.)
Don't sign it or anything - gets mail servers all upset.
