I've never tried this method but since you are organic I thought I would
mention it and if it sounds familiar or possible you could probably do a bit
of research on this---but it is my understanding that you can help along a
stump with decomposing by drilling holes down into it and pouring buttermilk
in them (I guess yogert would work too).  How long does it take?  Will it
really work?  I don't have these answers but it may be something to look into.
