I have found then to be very forgiving . In fact I have transplanted one
twice this year and it certainly seems happy enough.I have slightly
buried the crown because of fear of winter deaths but they are coming up
with nice new leaves so all seems well.
The secret seems to be watering well ( as with all transplants I guess)
but this has not been a problem for me because we have had a months
worth of rain in 10 days, and still it comes.
My garden hasn't been watered this much ever before!!!
Of course what amazes me is that there are a few dry places still. Hard
to believe, but after a drenching rain I went out to water some
primroses
