Re: mini Astilbe

Hi Laura,
There are so many of the mini and small Astilbe. Couple of the oldest out here
that are very popular are A. chinensis 'Pumila', a 10" lilac-rose that forms a
groundcover and A. x 'Sprite' is a bit under 12" in bloom with light pink.
So far I have located and obtained 'Darwin's Snow Sprite' a pure white that
blooms at about 12", and Inshriach Pink at about 10" and light pink over dark
bronze-green foliage. I am on the lookout for X crispa 'Liliput' which blooms at 6
to 8".
They sure do look great in small drifts.
