Came across a description of Calamintha grandiflora at this site which might fit the bill. Looks like a very pretty little plant.

Hi Di ...try Echinacea 'Magnus' ...blooms July to freeze-up, red coloured
coneflower and truly perennial & performing also with some shade. Any of
the other E. purpurea color-types also do likewise.
my favourite coneflower is Magnus, although *Bravado* (with huge pink
florets) is running a close second <g>
