Thanks for sharing this with us. It's exciting to have orchids volunteer
in your yard!

I had that experience two years ago with some Spiranthes that appeared in
my yard. I was so thrilled. They are still there; one large clump and 4
smaller ones, despite last year's drought. FWIW, they are growing in soil
that is at least 2/3 gravel in what used to be a driveway! Guess
Spiranthes like those sorts of conditions; don't know if all orchids do or
not.
