To all of you who talked about depression and rainy weather:

I live in Seattle area and I am regularly affected by long periods of gray skies.  I
was prescribed a light box, my medical coverage paid for it, and so since then I have
little problem with gray skies.  No more than 10 minutes/day in front of my light box
will banish depression in about 3 - 5 days.  The problem has a name in these part,
SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder.   Hope this helps
