Virginia, I think you are correct. There is something called the Spinach
Aphid AKA Green Peach Aphid. They must have been newly hatched yesterday
as they were tiny. Today they look more like aphids instead of little
dots, and are not such a bright red. They have antennae and legs.
I saw a ladybug on the plant yesterday, so maybe I should just leave them
alone and see if nature takes its course.
