Re: [SG] OT:Virus - no joke -Reply

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but
*WHY* would anyone want to do this to
someone else? I could even understand it if it
was business to business underhanded
competition (not "understand" but certainly
perceive the rationale), but between other "joe
blows" what is the reasoning? Plain mean?
Power? Can someone attempt to explain this
to me?

PLEASE PEOPLE. This is one of the
list-owners speaking. Just
opening the email CAN be enough to trigger
the virus. Someone in
a chat room (stranger to my son) sent him the
email and his virus
checker wasn't up-to-date enough to catch it.
The screen flashed
"Have a nice day" and everything went down.
Took about 15
seconds max.

I am NOT trying to pass on someone's email
warning about this.
This is what REALLY happened at our house!
