[SG] Japanese Painted Ferns

The discussion yesterday about Japanese Painted Ferns was interesting.
I just rescued 4 from Wal-Mart last week.  Their garden center manager
thought they were dead and had them pulled to be thrown away.  I
purchased them at a very reduced price, brought them home and sat them
in water all week.  I just planted them down with my native ferns and
they look great.  I had tried them once before, but I don't think I had
them where they would get enough water.  This location should be better.
I think I will start making some frequent visits to Wal-Mart to see what
they will be throwing away.  They do get in some nice and unusal plants,
but they sure don't know how to take care of them.
