Hi Bobbi
        I have never heard of birds eating slugs but I have heard toads do. I
have a couple living amongst the hostas and do all I can to encourage
more. I also use the board trick and kill any beneath it almost
everyday. I carry a pair of scissors in my pocket and cut the little
buggers in two. Pretty gross but I know they're dead.
