Clyde, I saw one a few weeks ago while hunting far and wide for
a particular rock. There is a pretty high zoot nursery that
specializes in water gardens & plants but has expanded
substantially in the area of trees & shrubs. I was looking for
interesting chamaecyparis when I saw this stunning tree. It
beckoned from 500 yards away. I went to it & was smitten. This
one was around 6' tall, not at all filled out and was around
$250 as I recall. NJ is as expensive as NY. I can't afford it
now, but I don't recall being so taken with a tree ... except
for copper beech. I'd love to see a photo of a more grown one.
Any idea why one is rarely seen?
