Hi Tamara,
You did the right thing. The Eastern US is having a problem with rust on
Jack in the Pulpit. Those little orange dots on the leaves will burst and
spread everywhere. No one seems to have a cure for the problem. I destroyed
50 Jack in the Pulpit and about the same amount of a Siberian Jack last
spring. I can not take a chance on spreading the rust to others gardens. In
fact, I ordered seeds from Germany to see if I can get around this one.
You will need to keep an eye out and if it returns pull the others.
