Re: [SG] Need Source: Bluets

Hi Gene,

Yes, I know about your nursery, and I have been wanting to go see it ever
since I heard you at the Wallitsch (sp) giving a wonderful lecture on the
fall bloomers. I love your website. I immediately checked your list to
see if these would grow around here, thinking we'd have pretty similar
conditions. I can't make it over before July, since I have two weeks of
vacation coming and will spend those backpacking the Shenendoah Natl.
Park in VA at the end of June. And I'll problably have another list of
plants that I want to add, by then too!

I'll need directions to get to your place. I'll e-mail you when I get
back and figure out a time to come over.

I'm disappointed that these Bluets are annuals. I'm not too good at
getting seeds to grow. I guess I'll just have to enjoy these beauties on
my trips. Thanks for the tip about getting into the archives for
Alpine-L. I assume that this is also a maelstrom. St Johns.edu list?

BTW, I dropped the WILD list in an angry gesture (at the critters that
keep eating my plants and pulling the baby plants out of the ground, not
the people on the list!). The list just too frequently focused on
wildlife rather than on the gardening aspects. There are just some
animals that I don't like to have in my garden: moles, squirrels, and
chipmunks. I just felt too hypocritical by lurking.
