In addition to Gene and Heronswood, Plant Delights is listing several this
year, including some of UK breeder Graham Birkin's dark ones (for which I
lust). Heronswood, however, had the largest list when last I checked tho'
their specific color forms of H. x hybridus (Orientalis) are, apparently,
only available for pick up at the nursery.
Since you're in VT, you might want to try Roslyn Nursery in NY. They list
the following:
H. argutifolius
H. foetides
H. x hybridus ‘Royal Heritage’
H. niger
H. niger maximus
H. niger ras buis
H. odorus
H. orientalis (tho' I have my doubts this is the true species; hard to find
I understand - most likely x hybridus, too)
H. purpurascens
H. x sternii
Their URL is: http://roslynnursery.com
Plant Delights is: http://www.plantdel.com
Heronswood is: http://www.heronswood.com/
Gene's website is: http://www.munchkinnursery.com/ - but email him as he
is in the throws of revamping it..
At this late date in the spring shipping rush, I wouldn't be surprised if
stocks are low for many nurseries, but email or a call should find this
out.
