Kemberly--yes, I have tried it twice here (from plants) and though it grew
very well through the summers it failed to survive the winters (even the
mild winters we have been experiencing lately). We are Z7a here. The
plants came from a nursery in North Carolina and were supposedly hardy
there, but that is a half-zone warmer. I understand that where it is
happy, it spreads rapidly by both seed and runners.
I got hooked on foxgloves several years ago and have a collection of about
a dozen different species. Arrowhead Alpines is the best source for
unusual foxgloves.
