Don't prune-enjoy.
What variety of a.palmatun do you have??
I rarely prune mine, as I find the palmatums to be self-pruning,
Older, inside branches cleaning themselves up.
Variety is imporant, because of the expected shape it would naturally make.
A neighborhood I drive thru has a big 'bloodgood' made into a perfect square
box.
Wonderful, just wonderful.
