Re: moving Japanese Maple?


I know that I am way behind on reading some of my mail, but that's what I'd suggest unless it would really hamper your design.  We did this with sold very tall old hemlocks.  Had no choice really.  But I do like sitting on the deck under these trees on a hot sunny day.

Why not build the deck around it and use it as a focal point?  Just a
