Re: Choosing the best hosta plants

Hi, Joe:

IMHO 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa' is a great hosta. It's a little slow growing,
no slug resistant, and very nicely variegated; 'Mildred Seaver', 'Abiqua
Moonbeam', 'Christmas Tree', 'Columbus Circle', 'Spinning Wheel', 'Northern
Halo', montana 'Aureomarginata', 'Kara', 'Miss Mabel', 'Torchlight', 'Sand
Pebbles','Inniswood', 'Frosted Jade', 'Fragrant Bouquet', and 'Borwick
Beauty'. Also, some of the older Lachman hosta, e.g., 'Crusader', 'Calypso',
& 'El Capitan' to name a few.

These are all variegated/medio-variegated hosta. There are many more
examples. These are a good start. Hope this helps....
