Here in zone 5, in SE Nebraska, we're several weeks ahead (and VERY dry).
The Bradford pears leaped into full bloom at the beginning of the week and
the spring bulbs are winding down. The lawn service for the company I work
for is, at this moment, doing the lawn for the first time, which is way
overdue. It's a confusing spring - everything on my part is done and ready
to go into the plots but the season still has some mischevious potential.
