Re: skunks(NOW Racoons,Help!)

Morning all,
Was following this thread last night, basking in my good fortune that we have none
of these..
When a holler from my husband in the kitchen, yelled'Come here, and look at
this'..!!
I quickly followed his request ,he then parted the blinds and lo and behold in
the light of our motion detecting fixture was this large and totally unafraid
Racoon..I banged on the window,I opened the window shouting at it to 'get out of
here'..NO response, he just continued pawing where my tulip bulbs are(no I dont
know for sure if that was what he was after, will check today for obvious
damage)..Husband went out and popped him with our feeble BB gun..He then left but
my concern is he will return..Couldnt help but note the ironic timing of this
event ..

Can anyone advise on how to handle, discourage Racoons.??
Did do a search but most info was how to attract 'em not the opposite.

Welcome any advise as to the type damage they can/will do to a yard loaded with
collector type plants.
Thanks in advance.
Connie
